2022/23 Competitive Team Auditions
Thank you for your interest in joining the Gee-Gees Dance Team for the 2022/23 season! Below you will find all the information surrounding our upcoming auditions. We are excited to welcome both incoming students and returning dancers to our team.
ROOKIE AUDITION INFO
We are thrilled you are considering auditioning for the Gee-Gees Dance Team!
Below is an outline of how our auditions will be structured and what will be required of each dancer at each round:
ROUND 1
Where?
Virtual!
What?
Submit a video which best represents your dancing abilities, preferably in contemporary, lyrical or jazz. This should be a recent competition or rehearsal video of your solo, duet, or trio.
If submitting a duet or trio, please indicate which dancer you are.
When?
The deadline to submit your video audition is August 26th, 2022 by 11:59pm EST.
Submissions are to be sent to geegeesdance@gmail.com with the following subject line:
VIDEO AUDITION *your FIRST and LAST name*
(i.e. VIDEO AUDITION SARA SMITH)
In your submission email, please include the following:

Email (Can be either school email or personal email—whichever you wish to be contacted at)
ROUND 2
Where?
In-Person—Montpetit Gym
What?
If selected from the first round of auditions, dancers will be asked to attend an in-person audition.
When?
September 10th, 2022 from 6-8 pm.
You will be evaluated on your technique, dance capabilities (i.e. jumps/turns/kicks), and stylistic elements.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a $10 audition fee for Round 2. Please bring cash :)
ROUND 3
Where?
In-Person—Montpetit Gym
What?
If selected from the second round of auditions, dancers will be asked to attend a final in-person audition with returning members of the team.
​
When?
September 11th, 2022 from 6-10 pm (times are subject to change).
You will be evaluated on your ability to pick-up choreography and cohesion with the other dancers.
After each round of auditions, dancers will receive an email from the Captains and Assistant Captains informing them if they have been selected to move onto the next round.

What?
Returning dancers will be asked to attend an in-person audition consisting of returning dancers only.
When?
September 10th, 2022 from 8-10 pm
You will be evaluated on your technique, dance capabilities (i.e. jumps/turns/kicks), and stylistic elements.
